Are you satisfied
with your life, or do you want something better?
Where do
you see yourself in 5 years time?
It’s the
interview question everyone dreads. What do you say? Some vague comments about
promotions and responsibilities that you hope are in line with what the
interviewer wants
But let’s
just rewind to 5 years ago and ask a similar question: Where did you
want to be today?
Can you
remember the plans you had 5 years ago?
How did
they turn out? Are you where you planned to be, or on your way there? Or are
you like the majority of people: you started out with hopes and dreams, goals
and plans, but somehow, somewhere you got knocked off course and never quite
managed to get back on track again.
What about
a year ago…have you achieved the goals you set for yourself just 12 months ago,
or are they, like 99% of New Year resolutions, memories of a commitment that
lasted a matter of days or weeks at the most?
Have you ever
stopped and asked yourself what happened?
Your dreams
didn’t go away, they’re still inside you wanting to break free, but every time
you start to give them their freedom something gets in the way. Sometimes you
can get very close to making things different but then it all goes wrong, you
get disillusioned and demoralized, and it’s much harder for you to pick
yourself up and start over again
But it
doesn’t have to be that way…
Look around
and you’ll see people who are moving forward, achieving their goals and dreams,
getting the things they want out of life. And it seems so easy for them.
I’ll let
you into a secret - they’re no different to you and me. They weren’t born with
special talents that made them more likely to succeed. But they have
found the secret to achieving their dreams, a secret that is still eluding
you…UNTIL NOW. Now you too can find the key to unlock the padlock on your
dreams, the key that will finally let you overcome all those obstacles that
have been standing in the way of you getting exactly where you want to be.
Before I
tell you more about it, let me tell you something about myself and my dreams:
My name is Margaret
Lobley, and just about a year ago I moved from the English midlands to a
beautiful area of the Peloponnese in mainland Greece, finally realizing my dream.
But it took a long time.
At university I
believed the world was there for the taking. My first job wasn't ideal but I
made the best of it, taking on extra responsibilities and doubling my salary in
just 2 years. But the prospects weren't good so I decided to retrain as a
career counselor.
I enjoyed this at
first, but working in the public sector I got dragged down by the politics and
attitudes of some of the people around me. Despite only being in my early
twenties I also started to feel shackled by the job security, good salary and
good pension.
Occasionally I plucked
up the courage to escape but couldn't find a company who were willing to
retrain me, even though I was sure I could change career. I did eventually
leave, joining the heady world of financial advice just as stock markets crashed
in 1987. A few years later, after being made redundant a couple of times, I
crept back to the ‘safety’ of local government career counseling, licking my
wounds.
That self confident new graduate had
disappeared in just a few short years
I vowed to stay in
local government for no more than 5 years, and finally broke away after 16. I
could always justify the longer stay to myself because I’d moved around,
changed responsibilities and got promotions, so I’d never stayed in the same
role for more than a few years. But that
wasn’t what I meant when I set my 5 year limit.
The truth is I felt
defeated and afraid. I’d been out in the big, bad world and it hadn’t worked
out. I’d been in debt, out of work, I'd had difficulties with my relationships
and I didn’t like it. It was much more comfortable – and safer – to stay where
I was, even though I knew deep down it wasn't what I wanted.
Along the way I fell
in love and married, and my husband and I both dreamed of living abroad. But I
told myself it wasn’t something we could really bring off – not us. We had no
spare money to buy property, and no savings either. So we kept talking about
it, but without a real time frame, which was a big mistake.
Then finally one day
my husband said we had to either make it happen or give up dreaming, and he
started talking about the steps we needed to take: sell our home, give notice
to our employers etc.
Now I was really scared
Things were fine while
it was unlikely to happen, but now it was getting serious and this brought out
all my fears: could we afford it? was it the right thing to do? was it the
right place to go? what if we bought property then found we didn’t like the
area? what if we ran out of money part-way through a build project? where would
the money come from to live on? what would I do with myself without a steady
job? would we get to know anyone?
You name it, I worried about it
And I didn’t dare
share these worries with my husband as he was so confident, so sure everything
would work out. If I’d told him how I really felt he would’ve assumed I didn’t
want to move. But I did – I really did – I was just so afraid that something
would go wrong like it had with everything else I'd tried. I needed to find a
way to get rid of my doubts and fears or I was going to hold us both back.
In January 2008 we
finally loaded up our car and set off to drive to Greece and we’ve been here ever
since, living in an apartment overlooking the sea. We wake up to sunshine and
blue skies most days and we're just 5 minutes from the beach. The pace of life
is relaxed, and I’m a lot less stressed than I used to be.
But more than that –
we’re now living our dream. And whatever might happen in the future, I'm now confident that we will succeed, no
matter what obstacles we may come up against.
And all because I finally found a
solution to the doubts and fears that were trying to stop me
I don’t
know what your dreams are, what goals you’ve set for yourself, but if you
haven’t achieved them yet I’d guess that something in my story rang true.
What’s stopping you isn’t the lack of a system (there are lots of different
goal setting plans available for you to follow), and it’s certainly not because
you don’t have any dreams. No...
...what’s stopping you is what’s happening inside your head.
You’re
stopping yourself
from getting what you want out of life. You are the only one
erecting the barriers, creating the obstacles and delays, and making them big
enough to feel insurmountable. You are the only one who’s
sabotaging your success, the only one who’s condemning yourself to the same ol’ same ol’ type of life you’ve
had up until now, envying those people who do more and have more, and still
assuming it’s because they’re somehow different from you.
Are you ready to
change your future?
If you’ve
read this far chances are you’ve already tried several different goal setting
systems. You already know the ‘what’s and ‘how’s, and it still hasn’t made any
difference. In fact you could use every system out there, spending lots of
money and wasting lots of time in the process, and still end up right back
where you began, except even more disillusioned.
You could
practice positive thinking and visualization (which is definitely helpful
because if you aren’t positive about something you stand little chance of
achieving it, and if you can’t see what you’re aiming for you're unlikely to
reach it)...
You could
recite positive affirmations every day...
You could
use complex programs to plan out your goals...
But everything
you try will be doomed to failure simply because you’re trying to apply a
solution before you actually know what the problem is. You’re taking a medicine
before you’ve diagnosed the illness
If you are
the only one who is putting obstacles in the way of your own success in life,
then it stands to reason that you are the only one who can and must remove
them. No system can do it for you, because what you need to remove are those
internal attitudes and behaviors that are holding you back.
Your own
internal defense force of attitudes, beliefs and behaviors has many years
experience in holding you back, undermining your self belief, knocking your
confidence and sapping your motivation. It won’t give up easily – it knows all
your weak spots and exactly how to manipulate you to get its own way.
And that’s
where this program comes in: it doesn’t tell you what to do, or even how to do
it, in order to achieve your dreams. It’s much more powerful and focused than
that:
This program goes straight to work to identify and remove those
attitudes, beliefs and behaviors that are holding you back
It gets
underneath your conscious mind, delving deep into your subconscious - the part
of your mind that controls all your actions and behaviors – and rooting out all
those unhelpful, un-supportive stowaways that are keeping you shackled to your
current, unsatisfactory life.
Let’s have
a look at some of those barriers:
1. Lack of Self
Belief
If you
don’t believe you can achieve something, you won’t. I can’t put it any simpler
than that. Why don’t you believe you can do it?
I’m too old/young
The oldest person to make a tandem parachute
jump was Estrid Geertson from Denmark,
who jumped from an altitude of 4000 meters (13,100 feet) in 2004, at the age of
100.
It's
not your actual age that's stopping you; it's your internal defense force
that's using this as an excuse to stop you
I don’t have the
skills
At
the tender age of 4, Thomas Edison was condemned by his teachers as being ‘too
stupid to learn’. He only ever received a few months’ formal education, but it
didn’t stop him becoming one of the most prolific inventors in history.
If you watch reality TV shows like ‘X Factor’ you know that people with just
a regular amount of talent are able to succeed if they have the right attitude.
You
can acquire the skills you need. Lack of skills is a smokescreen put up by your
internal defense force
I don’t have any money
to spare
Francis O’Dea was homeless, begging for change
to buy food when he was 13. Today, he’s the multi-millionaire owner of Second Cup, one of the largest coffee
shop chains in Canada.
Lack
of capital isn’t your real problem; it’s your internal defense force that’s
making you think it is
My health isn’t good
Bernie Baker was aged 60 and recovering from
prostate cancer when he decided to get into shape by becoming a male stripper.
Not only did he continue this career until his death 7 years later, he also won
30 contests, and got himself into the Guinness Book of World Records as the
oldest stripper.
Jim
Abbott was born without a right hand but this didn’t stop him becoming the 15th
baseball player to ever make a professional debut in the Major Leagues. In his
10 year career he had many outstanding games, as well as achievements including
the Sullivan Award (best amateur athlete in the United States, male athlete of the
year for the 1988 Olympic Games, and many awards including the Jesse Owens
Athlete of the year.
Health problems are only an obstacle
if you choose to let them be. Your internal defense force wants you to believe
your health problems mean you can't achieve success
2. Fear of
Failure
What if it doesn’t
work out?
Colonel Sanders, of Kentucky Fried Chicken
fame, lived in his car while he was trying to sell his famous recipe. It took
more than 1,000 rejections from restaurants before he found someone willing to
support him.
Thomas Edison’s experiments failed thousands of
times before he finally discovered the secret of electricity.
Failure
is a natural step on the road to success. It’s one of the best teachers there
is. Your internal defense force wants you to believe it’s the end of the world,
and that no amount of success is worth the possibility of failure
How will I face people
if I fail?
Michael Jordan was dropped from his high school
basketball team. This was the first of many failures. ‘I've failed over and
over again in my life, and that is why I succeed.’ He said.
Your
internal defense force wants you to worry about how other people might judge
you so that you won't develop the confidence to change your life
What if I run out of
money/time/motivation/??
It took George Lucas 4 years and many
rejections before he found someone interested in the first Star War script.
Walt Disney went bankrupt several times before
he finally found success with Disneyland
Your
internal defense force would have you believe all these things are limited.
There are always options if you look for them
3. Fear of
Success
I wasn’t brought up to
have lots of money/expensive possessions/be in the limelight
Many people are uncomfortable if they have more
wealth than they grew up with, or than they were told to expect out of life.
Success of any kind that takes someone outside
their previous experience can be embarrassing and difficult to come to terms
with, unless they have prepared themselves mentally to deal with it.
If
you grew up believing that it was a bad thing to have lots of money, or to be
in the public eye, your internal defense force will be working very hard to
stop you doing anything to change this. Even if the change could take you away
from debt and into financial freedom, or let you realize your biggest dreams...
How did you
feel when you read the comments above?
Could you
instantly see the truth in them, or were you doubting, maybe thinking something
like ‘It’s alright to say that, but I’m
different. It wouldn’t work like that for me.’?
You haven’t even made a move and your internal defense force is already
lining up its troops, making its battle plans and booking the victory
celebration!
Have I
convinced you yet that the real obstacle that’s stopping you achieving your
dreams is right inside your head? That any other supposed obstacles can
be overcome, and will be overcome if you use this program to change your
mindset? Have I started chipping away at those defenses?
If you can't
yet fully accept my arguments, but you still agree that something is holding
you back, don’t despair: this program will still help you achieve your goals
and dreams.
Exactly how does
the program work?
I’ve
already shown you that the root of your difficulties is in your own head, so it
stands to reason that the solution is there as well. You could try to find and
implement the solution yourself, but that’s difficult to do because your
internal defense force is always on guard, ready to fill your mind with
negative thoughts and excuses at the first sign of attack.
This
program by-passes your conscious mind, where you experience all those negative
thoughts and emotions, and goes straight to the heart of the matter: to your
unconscious mind where all your memories, attitudes and beliefs are held. It
goes to the root causes of your problems, and it puts them right.
You don’t
actually need to know what’s holding you back...you don’t need to spend time in
therapy working through painful past experiences...you just need to make
lasting changes to your attitudes and beliefs that will let you move forward
towards your goals and dreams, and that’s exactly what this program does.
Is achieving your
dreams worth just 90 minutes of your time each week?
The program
works in 3 parts:
You’ll fall
asleep to the first element for 30 consecutive nights, and also use it an extra
couple of times each week. That means finding just an extra 90 minutes out of
your weekly schedule.
This first
stage focuses on your attitude to success and prosperity. As I’ve said above,
even though they do want to succeed in their goals many people feel
uncomfortable with the rewards of success, and the impact these may have on
their lifestyle and the people around them. So the first thing you need to do
is remove all those ingrained negative beliefs and attitudes, and prepare
yourself for the exciting changes ahead.
After the
30 days are up, you may want to continue using this success and prosperity
element occasionally, but the number of times you use it will depend on your
own needs. If you detect the old attitudes slipping back, give yourself a boost
by using it for a few nights.
Next you’ll
use the second and third parts of the program together.
The second
stage of the process is to identify the goals and dreams you want to achieve.
You will use a template that shows you how to work out the steps needed to
achieve your goals.
For the
third, and final stage of the program you change to the Success for Life! element which you use just
twice weekly, falling asleep to it one night then using it as soon as you awake
the following morning.
You use it
in conjunction with your goal setting template: reviewing your goals and
progress to date before you go to sleep, then using the Success for Life! element to focus your
subconscious mind on success, receiving suggestions that will help you to
accomplish the goals you've set. While you continue to sleep, your subconscious
mind will be busy working out what you need to do next towards your goals.
Next
morning when you wake you listen to the Success
for Life! element again, then revisit your goals with the
benefit of the work your subconscious has put in overnight, and record your
next steps on your template.
Could anything be
easier than that?
You’ve got
to agree this isn’t a difficult program to use. Most of the work takes place
while you’re sleeping. You do need to invest some of your waking time as
well, but if you truly want to realize your dreams and achieve your goals,
you'll be committed to that anyway, won’t you?
In fact I'm
so confident that using this program will help you break down the barriers that
have been stopping you from succeeding that I will guarantee your purchase for
a full 6 months. All I ask is that you use all elements of the program exactly
as directed. If at any time within 6 months of purchase you decide the program
