Love
and Marriage, Friends, Family, Parents
how healthy are your important relationships?
Marriage, parents, children, family, friends, love.
These relationships are the backbone of the entertainment industry
What would Dangerous Housewives or East Enders be
like without love relationships going wrong?
Would Lost be as interesting if everyone pulled together
towards the common goal of escape?
Would you watch The Apprentice if all the contestants were supportive
of one another?
Books are the same: Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice is built around assumptions and
misunderstandings about parenting and love relationships
So is it any surprise when so many people believe that relationship
problems have to be a part of their own daily lives? But it's just not true!
If things aren't going well with your marriage ...your
children ...your family ...your friends ...your work
colleagues you will
be paying the price as well as them. Relationships that aren't positive are
draining; they wear you down and the effects spill over into so many other
parts of your life like the ripple effect of a stone tossed into the water.
Every single relationship we are involved in has the potential
for mis-communication and misunderstanding
All too often modern life doesn't give us the time
to make sure things are alright. We're rushing from one thing to another and
hardly have a chance to catch our breath, let alone to wonder whether someone
really understood what we said, or how they might have felt when we weren't
able to make the visit we'd arranged.
And by then it could be too late. A quick slip has blown out of all
proportion into an assumption of rejection or similar. It can take a very long
time to put right something that only took seconds to create
Wouldn't it be better to try and get it right first
time more of the time?
Just think of how much emotional energy you'd
save...you know it's worth it!
